ITIL v3 Intermediate Practice Exams

Scheduled for release in early December, ITSM Online Solutions is currently developing comprehensive ITIL v3 Intermediate level practice exams to compliment our current offering and help our clients enhance their ITIL v3 certifications. There are two streams in the Intermediate level. Both assess an individual's ability to analyze and apply the concepts of ITIL. Candidates are able to take units from either of the Intermediate streams, to gain credits towards the Expert Level.

Intermediate Lifecycle Stream - this stream includes 5 individual certificates built around the five core OGC titles, as follows:

• Service Strategy
• Service Design
• Service Transition
• Service Operation, and
• Continual Service Improvement.

The focus of these modules is on the introduction and implementation of the specific Lifecycle phase, and coverage of the principles, processes and related activities.

Intermediate Capability Stream - this stream includes 4 individual certificates loosely based on the current V2 Clustered Practitioner qualifications, but broader in scope in line with the updated V3 content, focusing on detailed process implementation and management within cluster groupings:

• Operational Support and Analysis (OS&A). Subjects covered inc. Event, Incident, Request, Problem, Access, Service Desk, Technical, IT Ops and Application Management
• Service Offerings and Agreements (SO&A). Subjects covered inc. Portfolio, Service Level, Catalogue. Demand, Supplier and Financial Management
• Release, Control and Validation (RC&V). Subjects covered inc. Change, Release &   Deployment, Validation & Testing, Service Asset & Configuration, Knowledge, Request Management and Service Evaluation
• Planning, Protection and Optimization (PP&O). Subjects covered inc. Capacity, Availability, Continuity, Security, Demand and Risk Management.

 

Microsoft Operations Framework

Microsoft Operations Framework (MOF®) is an international standard for IT Service Operations Management and the IT Service Management process of the everyday duties of an IT department. Based on ITIL and Best Practices in the Microsoft Environment, MOF aims at organizing Operational IT Management in such a way that the business can rely on a high availability of services, based on the reliability and control of the IT systems.
As from 1 October 2007, a new Foundation exam became available for Microsoft Operations Framework: MOF Foundation (MOFF). MOF is based on best practices, principles and models that assist IT organizations in setting up IT services.

Our certified Subject Matter Experts are currently developing new practice exams based on the Microsoft Operations Management Foundation exam requirements.  These new practice exams will be available soon!

 

Project Management Professional (PMP®)

The Project Management Professional (PMP) designation was initiated in 1984 by the Project Management Institute (PMI).  Professionals who obtain the PMP designation are recognized as having achieved a high level of competency in the area of Project Management.  The PMP designation is recognized industry wide.  This certification exam consists of 200 multiple-choice questions.  We are currently developing 1000 new questions and five full simulation tests to help Project Management professionals prepare for the PMP exam.
